The 2008 Skate Canada International was the Skate Canada International Grand Prix competition of the 2008–2009 season. Organized by Skate Canada, it was the second event of six in the 2008–2009 ISU Grand Prix, a senior-level international invitational competition. The event was held at the Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario from October 30 through November 2, 2008. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Skaters also earned points towards qualifying for the Grand Prix Final. The compulsory dance was the Paso Doble. ==Schedule== The switch from daylight saving time to standard time was on November 2.
